Site Director, KSES Extended Daycare

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The Daycare Site Director must be able to ensure that all state codes and regulations are in compliance.  Manage and control inventory of instructional materials, equipment, and supplies in accordance with the budget. Ensure all paperwork, recordkeeping, and money deposits are completed and organized.  Be able to retain great employees and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in care at all times.

Performance and Responsibilities:

· Most importantly loves caring for children and making sure they are supervised, engaged in age appropriate activities, and establishing routines that provide positive guidance.

· Have knowledge of and be in compliance of all state codes and regulations.

· Be able to collect, deposit, and maintain accurate records of payments.

· Be able to create an employee schedule that follows ratio guidelines to be in compliance and manage and evaluate staff of 3-5 people

· Record and ensure training for all employees.

· Approval and ordering of materials, equipment, snacks, and supplies.

· Be able to solve issues with children, employees, and parents professionally.

· Exhibit and model great customer service

· Keeping the site clean, sanitized, and organized.

Salary: Benefits: Expectations

Beginning Salary: $14.50 an hour, 40 hours a week /year round job (closed a week in July) $31,000 plus

Hours: 10 months out of the year while students are in school: 10-6 or a possible split shift 6-8 then 12-6

Summer, all school breaks, snow days, we are open 6-6 

Expectation: when we are open during the summer and full day breaks that the Site director must be present and vacations cannot be taken during those times.

Benefits: insurance, dental/ vision, 12 vacation days, 12 sick days, 2 personal days, retirement.

The Cheatham County Schools Daycare Program is seeking energetic and caring employees to work with children.

  • Able to pass an extensive background check and drug test
  • Reliable and great work ethic

  • Great customer service skills
  • Most importantly, you must love children and enjoy interacting with them through play and educational activities.

Full-time positions available at:

Pegram Elementary Extended Care

  • Salary beginning at $13,000/$8.50 an hour
  • Benefits include insurance, 12 sick days and 12 vacation days
  • Hours are Monday-Friday.  While school is in session, hours are 6-8 a.m. then return from 1-6 p.m.  When school is out (summer, breaks, snow days), hours are 6-2 or 10-6.


Part-time positions available at:

Cheatham Middle Employee Daycare

  • Salary beginning at $8.50 an hour
  • Hours are Monday-Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Opportuniities for additional hours are available to when full-time staff are out. 
  • Daycare is closed when schools are closed.


Ashland City Elementary Extended Care, Kingston Springs Elementary Extended Care, and Pegram Elementary Extended Care

  • Salary beginning at $8.50 an hour
  • Hours are Monday-Friday and are typically from 2-6 p.m.
  • Additional hours may be required during summer, breaks and snow days







































CCSD-- Transportation Director

• Provides the safe transporting of Cheatham County's greatest asset, our children.

 • Schedules bus routes that offer the most efficient means of transporting    children.

 • Oversees all bus shop employees and school bus drivers

 • Provides a budget to the Director of Schools for the following school year no later than February of the current school year.

 • Communicates effectively and in a timely manner with all district personnel, parents, students and employees.

• Sets up cost effective measures that reflect extraordinary care of budgetary matters.

  • Exhibits a willingness to 'go the extra mile'.

 • Realization that the day isn't done until the job is completed.

 • Encourages safety first.

 • Provides motivation, through example, to all employees.

 • Provides every school bus driver with an employee manual.

 • Provides training according to TCA rules.
